Merry Christmas!
We had such a wonderful Christmas! We got to stay at our own house this year. My parents, brother and sister all stayed the night at our house Christmas Eve. We had a great dinner Christmas Eve and then we played games and opened our secret santa presents. It took quite a while for the kids to go to bed. The girls were just mad that everyone was staying up without them. Matt went to sleep because he was worried Santa wouldn't come. The girls stayed up til almost midnight though. Yikes! Matt came rushing in our room at 7:30 saying, "Santa really did come last night and he left a whole kitchen and our stockings all full last night. It's awesome, come and see!" We had so much fun watching the kids open presents. Sophie was more intested in playing with the kitchen than opening her presents. I was glad she liked it so much. We basically just played all day long on Christmas. Jake and my brother Brian got a Wii for Christmas so we spent the majority of the day playing that. Fun stuff. Friday we left for the cabin which was a blast. There was so much snow and it probably snowed 10 inches or so Saturday while we were there. We went and played in the snow for a while before coming home Saturday night. What a great Christmas! We were glad we got to spend it with family but we sure missed the family that weren't here with us. We sure love our families! Merry Christmas! We hope we can all remember the true meaning of Christmas throughout the whole year.
